This is a research brief done by Leah Shorb, a Brown University student working as an intern for the Youth Restoration Project during 2019. She conducted an extensive search of the relevant sources, painting the landscape of the school-to-prison pipeline for us, both in the US and in Rhode Island. Her work is organized under the following categories, with listed references:
- Defining the School to Prison Pipeline
- Origins: Zero-Tolerance and Exclusionary Disciplinary Policies
- Disparate Effects on Marginalized Groups
